RigSupplies.com Inc. is owned and operated by a privately held numbered company in Alberta, Canada. Its head office is located at 3530 - 78 Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta, the heart of Western Canada’s burgeoning oil and gas industry.

The numbered company, 868740 Alberta Ltd., was established in March 2000 as a joint venture between CSM Systems Corp. (50/%), a publicly traded e-business software company (CDNX:CXV), RigSupplies.com President Scott Widney (40%), and company director James Storey (10%). (Also see Executive)

The company’s mandate is to create neutral, vertical marketplaces in industry specific and targeted geographic areas. The company, in partnership with CSM, develops proprietary electronic procurement systems that can be applied to a wide variety of industries in any location.

The company’s first deployment of the technology was with the soft launch of RigSupplies.com in December 2000. The company formed a second partnership with Ed and Cheryl Clough to create DentistSupplies.ca Inc. in March 2001. DentistSupplies.ca was officially launched in March 2001 at the annual Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver, BC.
